The Faculty of the Arts Administration Program at Teachers College, Columbia University invites all prospective students to attend a Fall Open House on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 from 6:30pm-8:00pm. The Arts Administration program represents an alliance of four disciplines: arts, education, business and law. It is designed to help professionals meet the challenges of the future, including questions about the long-term health and sustainability of arts organizations, their missions, governance and management. Such issues as freedom of expression, censorship and government intervention in the arts have important implications for international, educational and cultural policy, and are integral to the program. Today, arts administration training in the United States is a model in the field, addressing worldwide concerns.
Those attending will have the opportunity to speak with faculty, staff and current students about the program and the exciting opportunities that it may hold for them. Representatives from the Offices of Admission and Financial Aid will also be available to speak about the admission process and answer your questions.
